To address the usage and buying patterns of customers, this popular curriculum has been changed to a two-semester format. Each semester includes 15 core sessions and 5 bonus sessions to provide added flexibility for Sunday school scheduling. Witness has also been energized with a totally new look. Learners will discover interesting and engaging new art, graphics, and activities. And, because character building and teaching Christian values are essential to faith development, Witness has been enhanced with activities that help kids develop "Faith Traits" ? characteristics of those who live the good news. The core 15-session learner resource for age 2 through grade 4 is a set of nested leaflets, one leaflet per learner per session. Each colorful leaflet features a beautifully illustrated scene from the Bible story with a retelling of the story for learners and teachers to share. Other features include age-appropriate activities that engage learners in an element of the Bible story and encourage them to apply story knowledge to their own lives. The core 15-session learner resource for grade 5 through grade 8 is a colorful magazine-style booklet. Features include engaging Bible study activities, application activities like Brain Builders that acknowledge different learning styles and multiple intelligences, and contemporary art and design. The bonus materials for learners grades 5 through 8 have two parts, both of which are reproducible. There is one reproducible page for each of the five bonus sessions in each age-level teacher guide. In addition, the teacher class kit contains one reproducible sheet for each of the five bonus sessions, useable across the ages.
