This high-energy, multimedia program comes complete with everything you need for boys and girls ages 6-12! Each volume comes with 13 lessons for large-group/small-group programs including:

Here's how it all fits together to make effective and powerful ministry:

Let's start with the Leader's Manual. You will find a comprehensive Director's guide in the beginning of the manual. This will give you all the tips for organizing a powerful ministry. Many reproducible resources are also included on the Leader Resources CD-ROM. Then you'll get 13 lessons that will help kids praise God, follow Jesus and be led by the Holy Spirit. The large-group gathering begins with powerful praise and worship using music videos on the Bible & Praise DVD, and then moves into high-energy review games. Then the lesson is introduced in a fun way. Next, the lesson's Scripture memory verse is reinforced with a creative activity.

Bible lessons use a visual element—either a Bible & Praise DVD video segment, from silly to serious, or a puppet or drama audio track from the Leader Resources CD-ROM. Bible lessons are reinforced with two object lessons before concluding with Today's Life Story, a contemporary visual life-application story, featuring our newest characters—the K.I.D.S. Church Kids!

The small-group lessons are featured in the God Encounters manuals for three age levels (6-7, 8-10, 11-12). Kids will enter into God's presence, see how Jesus is revealed throughout the Bible, and build relationships with one another through fun and creative activities. All-new full color lesson handouts are found on the Leader Resources CD-ROM. The impact of each lesson is extended into the home using the Take-Home Challenges found on the Take-Home Challenge CD-ROM!

Volume 1: Relating to God: Relating to God uses examples from the lives of people in both the Old and New Testaments, taking students on a journey of discovery as they explore life through the eyes of Samuel, Saul, David, Moses and others. From these examples, kids will discover that worshiping God is an attitude that can be chosen—even in difficult situations. Kids CAN meaningfully relate to God.

Volume 2: Knowing Myself: Stories from the Fall, Elijah and Jesus' parables explore how God created, loves and cares for us, even giving Christ for us. Kids are encouraged to have right attitudes that lead to faithful living. And they discover actions that show their commitment to God and how thinking—or not thinking—about God can impact their walk with Jesus. Kids CAN live up to their potential through God's Spirit!

Henrietta C. Mears was one of the great Bible teachers of the 20th century. While Christian Education Director at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, she built one of the largest Sunday Schools in the world and wrote curriculum that was in such high demand that to publish it she founded Gospel Light in 1933. Such notable Christian leaders as Richard C. Halverson, Luis Evans, Jr. and Bill Bright were among her students. Miss Mears developed "cradle-to-grave" age-appropriate curriculum, published a new style of Vacation Bible School, and lent her support to distributing Gospel materials around the world. Gospel Light has expanded into a multi-faceted publisher of fun and creative Sunday School curriculum, exciting Vacation Bible School programs and inspiring biblical books (Regal) . The mission of Gospel Light is still the same today as it was in 1933: "To know Christ and to make Him known."
