The Zoo VBS Program Theme
Welcome to the One-of-a-Kind Zoo! This exciting zoo VBS curriculum will transform your campus into a “real” zoo, a very unique zoo that features animals that are truly one-of-a-kind. Children will learn about the one-of-a-kind snake that spoke to Adam and Eve, the one-of-a-kind lions whose mouths were miraculously closed, the one-of-a-kind fish that swallowed a man, and the one-of-a-kind donkey that spoke. And the most popular zoo VBS exhibit is the one-of-a-kind Lamb who died for our sins.
With this zoo VBS course, students spend a day at each zoo exhibit. They will visit the tropical rain forest, the farm exhibit, the grassland safari, the living seas, and the rest area. Reproducible hallway signs and a sound effect CD are also included in every purchase.

Zoo Vacation Bible School Rain ForestTHE TROPICAL RAIN FOREST

A-ONE-OF-A-KIND SNAKE and A-ONE-OF-A-KIND PROMISE
This zoo VBS room could have a jungle look to it with leaves and vines hanging from the ceiling and a dark atmosphere. Sounds of the jungle could greet the students when they arrive. Here the children will learn about a tropical rain forest in their Vacation Bible School devotion, which will lead into the story of the first sin instigated by a talking snake in the Garden of Eden.

A-ONE-OF-A-KIND DONKEY and A-ONE-OF-A-KIND BLESSING
This could be an outdoor Vacation Bible School classroom. It could be decorated with bales of straw and pails of water. Perhaps a rail fence or decorated barn door could greet the children as they come in. Here the children will listen to barnyard sounds. In this exhibit the children will learn about caring for farm animals in their devotion. This will lead into the zoo VBS lesson for the day about Balaam and the talking donkey.
Zoo VBS SafariTHE GRASSLAND SAFARI

A-ONE-OF-A-KIND LION and A-ONE-OF-A-KIND RESCUE
Here the VBS children will visit life on the grassland plains. Decorations could include tall brown grass, some trees, and large boulders. This zoo VBS class could also be conducted outdoors. Here children could be greeted with the growling and stampede noises of the Serengeti animals. The devotion for this day will teach the children about the Serengeti plains and its animal and plant life. The Vacation Bible School devotion will lead into the story of Daniel in the den of one-of-a-kind lions.

A-ONE-OF-A-KIND FISH and A-ONE-OF-A-KIND LESSON
Here the zoo VBS classroom could be decorated with large fishnets and several empty fish tanks. Perhaps some diving goggles and air tubes could be laying around as well. Children could be greeted with the sounds of the ocean as they enter. The Vacation Bible School devotion for the day teaches children about the beauty and blessing of the oceans. That devotion will lead into the story of Jonah and the big fish.
VBS Program CourseTHE REST AREA

A-ONE-OF-A-KIND SHEEP and A-ONE-OF-A-KIND SHEPHERD
On the final day of Vacation Bible School, all the children will meet together at the Rest Area. This could be in the church or outdoors on a large grassy area reserved for this day. This area could include a cross in front of the group and perhaps a real or stuffed lamb. The children could be greeted with the playing of a children's Bible song CD. The zoo VBS devotion for this day tells of sheep and shepherds. This will lead into the accounts of Jesus as the Lamb of God and also as our Good Shepherd.
